Back from a long slumber

For those of you who have been following my blog, you probably noticed that I have not posted in a while. The past few months have been pretty crazy. On the personal front, we have almost sold our apartment, and then not..almost bought a new home and then moved in, and then not. Kids are starting a new school in the fall – where? We don’t know yet. So it’s been a life in limbo. We also purchased a new puppy – Hudson the Golden Doodle, the Golden Doodle who is supposed to run freely in the suburban grass and not the apartment building hallway. Was it a mid-life crisis purchase? Maybe. Cheaper than a sports car but needs to be walked frequently, destroys all forms of carpeting and wakes up at obscenely early hours in the morning.

Life in the world medicine is also crazy – new concussion guidelines are out; new strains of swine flu have been identified. And there’s yet another heat advisory in NYC. Summer time brings all kinds of concerns – tick bites, mosquito bites, overheating, sun burns, more sports related injuries and summer camp homesickness.

Summer also brings with it a chance to eat healthier, exercise more with your kids, spend time together and get out of the daily school year grind. Looking forward to posting more often again! ….And eventually moving out of NYC!
